EUROPEAN QUALIFICATION

Nationally Recognised at 3 Levels

The European qualification is awarded by Euro American Institute (EAI), Malta, a licensed Higher Education Institution under the Malta Further & Higher Education Authority (MFHEA), Licence No. 2024-032.

SwissEU™ programmes are built around a three-layer recognition framework:

  1. Licensed Higher Education Institution
  2. Nationally Accredited Programme
  3. Recognised Online Delivery

SWISS QUALIFICATION

A Swiss Private Degree

The Swiss qualification within SwissEU™ is awarded by the European Institute of Management and Technology (EIMT), Switzerland, a private education institution based in the Canton of Zug.

EIMT qualifications are Swiss private institutional awards, issued under EIMT’s own academic regulations, assessment requirements and quality-assurance framework.

They represent a distinct part of the Swiss education landscape and should be distinguished from degrees awarded by Swiss higher education institutions institutionally accredited under the Swiss Higher Education Act (HEdA).

Swiss Private Institutional Award

EIMT provides the Swiss qualification within the SwissEU™ dual-qualification model.

As a Swiss private education institution, EIMT issues its qualifications under its own academic framework, with defined admission, assessment and quality-assurance requirements.

The qualification therefore carries a Swiss private institutional status, rather than the status of a degree issued by a HEdA-accredited Swiss university or university of applied sciences.

SWISS STATUS
Private Institutional Award

Professional Specialisation

The EIMT qualification adds a professionally focused academic profile to the SwissEU™ dual-qualification experience.

Where applicable, the EIMT award identifies the learner’s field of professional specialisation, allowing the Swiss qualification to communicate a more specific area of expertise alongside the broader nationally recognised European qualification.

This creates a complementary qualification profile combining:

European Recognition + Swiss Professional Specialisation

PROFESSIONAL VALUE
Specialised Qualification Profile

ACBSP Accreditation Candidate

EIMT has been granted candidacy status in the accreditation process of the Accreditation Council for Business Schools and Programs (ACBSP), an international organisation specialising in the accreditation of business and business-related education programmes.

Candidacy represents a formal developmental stage in the ACBSP accreditation process, during which the institution progresses through the applicable quality review and accreditation requirements.

Current Status: Accreditation Candidate

Candidacy is not the same as accreditation. EIMT and its programmes will only be described as ACBSP-accredited if and when accreditation is formally granted by ACBSP to the applicable programmes.

International Association for Quality Assurance in Pre-Tertiary & Higher Education

EIMT holds institutional accreditation from QAHE, an independent, private and non-governmental quality-assurance organisation.

The accreditation provides an additional external review of EIMT’s institutional quality practices and educational operations.

It is separate from institutional accreditation under the Swiss Higher Education Act (HEdA) and does not represent Swiss governmental accreditation.

EIMT has received certification from AQS in relation to ISO/IEC 40180:2017, an international standard addressing quality assurance, quality management and quality improvement in IT-enhanced learning, education and training.

The certification supports EIMT’s quality framework for technology-enabled education within the scope specified by the applicable certificate.

ISO certification relates to quality-management systems and should be distinguished from academic programme accreditation or Swiss institutional accreditation.

[Important] Recognition Beyond the Awarding Country

International recognition is never automatic.

Universities, employers, professional bodies, credential evaluation agencies and government authorities may apply their own requirements when evaluating foreign qualifications.

The EAI qualification derives its formal status from Malta’s national higher education framework and its applicable MFHEA programme accreditation.

The EIMT qualification is a Swiss private degree and should be evaluated as such by the receiving organisation.

Learners intending to use either qualification for regulated professions, government employment, further study, immigration, formal degree recognition or other regulated purposes should verify the applicable requirements with the relevant authority before enrolment.
