SWISSEU™

Academic Support

SwissEU™ combines the flexibility of online education with the structured academic support of SIMI Swiss, helping learners stay connected, prepared and supported throughout their learning journey. From academic preparation and live engagement to assessment guidance and final submission, learners can study from anywhere without learning alone.

Online by location. Connected by design.

Step 01 - Learning Schedule & Reminders

Learners receive information about upcoming academic activities, important dates and applicable deadlines.

This helps learners plan study around work, family and other commitments.

Step 02 - Syllabus & Learning Roadmap

Before beginning a module or learning stage, learners review the syllabus, learning outcomes and academic expectations.

The goal is to understand:

What will I learn?
What am I expected to achieve?
How will my learning be assessed?

Step 03 - Prepare Through the LMS

Learners access the applicable learning materials, resources and academic content through the online learning environment.

Preparation before academic interaction allows learners to identify concepts that require deeper understanding.

Step 04 - Prepare Questions

Learners are encouraged to identify questions, difficult concepts and learning issues before academic sessions or tutorials.

This transforms online learning from passive content consumption into a more purposeful academic experience.

Step 05 - Live Academic Engagement

Where applicable, learners participate in live academic sessions delivered according to the programme learning plan.

Live interaction creates opportunities to explore concepts, discuss applications and clarify academic issues in real time.

Technical and learning-support assistance is available throughout the online learning experience.

Step 06 - Tutorial & Academic Guidance

Where applicable, tutorials and academic guidance help learners deepen their understanding and connect theory with application.

Support may help learners interpret assessment requirements, develop approaches to academic problems and strengthen independent learning skills.

Step 07 - Independent Assessment Work

Learners independently develop their assignments, projects, research and other assessed work in accordance with the applicable assessment brief and academic regulations.

Academic support may clarify requirements and academic conventions, but the ideas, analysis, arguments and submitted work must remain the learner’s own.

Step 08 - Academic Integrity & Submission Readiness

Before submission, learners may receive supportive guidance relating to areas such as:

Academic writing
Referencing and citation
Document presentation
Formatting requirements
Language clarity
Similarity awareness
Academic integrity

The purpose is to help learners understand academic expectations — not to alter authorship or complete assessed work on their behalf.

Step 09 - Final Submission

Learners submit their completed work through the applicable learning or assessment system according to programme requirements and deadlines.

By this stage, the learner has progressed through a structured process of:

Preparation → Learning → Application → Review → Submission

Support That Builds Independence

Academic support should not make learners dependent on support.

It should help them become better independent learners.

SwissEU™ therefore focuses on helping learners develop the ability to:

Understand

Interpret academic requirements, learning outcomes and assessment expectations.

Organise

Manage study schedules, academic activities and submission deadlines more effectively.

Apply

Connect academic knowledge with professional and research-based problems.

Communicate

Express ideas using appropriate academic language, structure and referencing.

Complete

Take responsibility for producing and submitting original academic work.

Support — Not Substitution

SwissEU™ academic support is designed to guide the learner, not replace the learner.

Academic Support may:

Clarify academic instructions and assessment requirements.
Guide learners in study methods and academic conventions.
Support the development of academic and research skills.
Identify language, formatting or referencing issues for learners to address.
Help learners understand academic-integrity expectations.

Academic Support does not:

Write assignments, dissertations or assessed work for learners.
Generate answers for submission as the learner’s own work.
Rewrite academic content in a way that replaces learner authorship.
Influence marking, grading, moderation or academic decisions.
Guarantee passing grades, graduation or academic outcomes.

Your Work. Your Achievement.

All assessed work remains the learner’s responsibility.

Academic Decisions Remain Independent

Academic support and academic decision-making serve different purposes.

SwissEU™ and SIMI Swiss may provide learning frameworks, academic guidance and learner support within the applicable programme arrangements.

Admission, assessment, grading, progression, award and other formal academic decisions remain subject to the regulations and authority of the applicable awarding institution.

This separation helps protect:

Academic integrity
Assessment independence
Qualification standards

Designed for the Reality of Online Learners

SwissEU™ learners may be professionals, managers, educators, entrepreneurs or researchers studying alongside demanding careers and personal responsibilities.

The support model therefore focuses on three practical principles:

Clear

Learners should understand what is expected.

Timely

Support should be available when it can still make a difference.

Empowering

Support should strengthen the learner’s own capability rather than replace it.

Global Access. Swiss Academic Support.

Study from wherever your life takes you.

Stay connected to an academic framework designed to support your progress.

Distance. Not Distant.

Flexible by design.
Connected throughout.
Independent by achievement.
